Terms of Service for Reset

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Reset mobile application (the “App”) operated by Reset (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Description of the Service

Reset is a digital wellness tool designed to help users manage screen time, reduce distractions, and improve focus by blocking or limiting access to selected applications and websites.

Reset uses Apple system frameworks, including Screen Time and FamilyControls APIs, to provide these features.

Reset does not guarantee specific behavioral outcomes or improvements in productivity, focus, or wellbeing.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.

If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the App.

By using Reset, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3. License to Use the App

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App solely for personal, non-commercial use.

You agree not to:

  • copy, modify, or distribute the App

  • reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code

  • use the App for unlawful purposes

  • interfere with the App’s functionality or security

All rights not expressly granted remain reserved by Reset.

4. Apple Platform Terms

These Terms apply between you and Reset, not Apple.

Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.

However, your use of the App must also comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and any applicable App Store policies.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms.

5. Subscriptions and Payments (If Applicable)

Some features of Reset may require a paid subscription.

If you purchase a subscription:

  • payment will be charged to your Apple ID account

  • subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period

  • renewal charges occur within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period

You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID account settings.

All payments are handled by Apple, and we do not store your payment information.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to use Reset responsibly.

You are solely responsible for:

  • how you configure app blocking

  • any consequences of blocking certain applications

  • ensuring the App does not interfere with important communications or responsibilities

Reset is intended as a productivity and wellness tool, not a guarantee of behavioral change.

7. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you use Reset.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available.”

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Reset disclaims all warranties, including:

  • merchantability

  • fitness for a particular purpose

  • non-infringement

  • uninterrupted or error-free operation

We do not guarantee the App will always function without interruptions or bugs.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reset and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • lost productivity

  • lost data

  • device issues

  • inability to access blocked apps

  • reliance on the App for behavioral outcomes

Your use of the App is at your own risk.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the App at any time if:

  • these Terms are violated

  • the App is misused

  • required by law

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically.

If changes occur, the Last Updated date will be revised.

Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
